Kris Allen Wow!!!!!

May 13, 2009

Well after last nights performance of “Heartless”, Kris Allen put him self in the finals. I loved it. It was my favorite performance of the night. His acapella intro and then continuing with an acoustic rendition of Kenye West’s song “Heartless” was brilliant. It is going to be an interesting finale for American Idol. Here is the clip from last night.

Here is a video of drafting the winner.  Which at the time I was not sure of pronouncing her name.

Last Saturday was a success!  The city of Pembroke Pines held its annual business expo at the Pembroke Lakes Mall and I was able to participate again for the second time in a row.

I met so many wonderful people. I am so grateful for all their beautiful comments about my work.  I am very flattered.  And I hope that I will get the honor to capture their special moments as well.  Thanks to everyone that stopped by and said hello.  I really had a great time.

Here a few images my husband took with his iPhone.

For a moment I though he only took this one.  Which really not the face I want to be flaunting. :-)

And the say “can’t judge a book by its cover…” has been confirmed again.

Susan Boyle proved it with her beautiful voice last Saturday.  The 48 year single woman from Britain wowed the judges and even got Simon sighing and everyone else almost in tears.  I was for sure.  Here is the link for her video performance for those of you that still have not seen it.

My housekeeper called in sick the other day.  So I had no choice but to do some house chores.  Ha, ha, ha… I wish!

Anyway, while I was doing my cleaning I asked my daughter to help by bring up the shoes that were on the stair case, which belonged to her and her brother, and to put them away.  And She replied “but their to many!” Then I said to her to bring them little by little.  So she started her duty bringing up her shoes, probably one or two at a time.  And as I continued doing my share of duties,  cleaning their bathroom,  uhg!  I hear her coming up and down the stairs with short breath.  Then she comes to me and said she is finished.  I said “but you have not put the shoes where they belong.”  I saw that she was exhausted so I told her to take a break and then to finished the job.  I imagined she had stacked all the shoes at the top of the stair ways, all piled up.  Well, as I finished cleaning up I come out to the hallway and I see this.orderly steps

She had lined up all the shoes in pairs leading the way to her doorway.  How creative!  I was so impressed with her creativeness because she is only 4 years old.  And so proud of her as well because some of creative genes have passed on. ;-)

Here are other views of her shoe line up.

I have an addiction…

…to FaceBook

 Linda Garcia's Facebook profile

I was not one to join the online network scene.  But I have been bitten buy the FaceBook bug.  I must say I am having fun with it.  Getting the updates, the invites, messages, gifts etc.  However, the one thing that I like the most is that I am able to get in contact with friends and family that I have not seen or heard of in a while.  I think is so cool!  So that is where I’ve been spending most of my leisure online time, Facebooking people.  Hey, a new slang word! :-)

So look me up on FaceBook and join my page too!

A courageous act.

So the Professional Photographer Association (PPA) has this contest about blogs among photographers and I dared to enter.  Even though I know that I don’t come as closed to any of the great blogs that are participating. I am still to organic for what is out there.  But, I just wanted to participate, since it does not cost anything and the least it can happen is that I get reviewed and someone my actually stop by to read my stories and see my pictures.  I am just dying to get some feedback on my writing.

So lets just be bold!  What’s the worst it can happen, right?

Here is an image of a wedding I did recently.0059_dsc_8646

Today I celebrate the first time I met the love of my life.   His big eyes looking at me.  His unconditional love to me. Ahhh! Yes, yes It was love at first site. I can’t believe its been three years since I met my prince charming.

Here are some picture of us celebrating our special day.dsc_0443

Yes, its my son!  Who else did you think it was?  Today we celebrated is third birthday.  He was so exited the entire day.  We are actually doing a birthday party in a couple of weeks in honor of him and his dad who also has a birthday in January.  However, I got  him three balloons, (which he took everywhere he went today), cupcakes and a present. That is all it took to make him smile all day. Beautiful!

I love birthdays because of my kids.  It just lights up there faces when they know there is a birthday coming up.   Last year for my birthday I celebrated it and had the kids do face paint on me.  It was so much fun and they had a blast.  Except for my prince who did not like to see his mommy with the face full of paint. (Next time I’ll show some pictures of that)

In the meantime here are some more of his birthday.

This is what we had for breakfast.

To be Genuine, priceless…

January 11, 2009

There is one thing that I hate the most and that is person the is not genuine.  Opps!  Scratch that.  This blog is about positive things. hhhmmm!  Let’s start again.

There is one thing that I love the most in a person and that is when they are genuine.  Genuine about everything, about who they are, what they do, what they are into, there dislikes and likes, etc., etc.

Why do you have to pretend about what you are or who you are.  Why not just be your self!  Why not share what makes you happy.  Maybe you truly find that someone else that shares the same interest as you and become the greatest friends because you have so much in common.  But if you are always hiding your self and not being open and honest with others, because you are always thinking about what others are going to say,  how are we going to know the real you?

So the next time you meet someone new try it.  And I bet you will feel great because you were you, no sugar coating,  no caramel topping, just plain old you.
